Thanks for stopping by! We live in the country, and since DH has the car duing the day, the boys and I can get pretty bored. With heat creeping up to 105 today, I forsee the need for a Plan KK!

Stoppy by from HHWC :) Yummm! I agree that cooking/baking is a great distraction for kids. My daughter loves to cook/bake with me :) Those cookies look great! Since I probably don't live that far from you (I'm in Louisiana too)...I totally understand what you mean about the heat! Since I've injured my knee, I haven't been out much these past few weeks, but I'm not complaining because of the heat...lol.

That's awesome you are teaching your kids about thank you notes. I am the only person in my family who sends them. After my girl's birthday and Christmas, people were asking me why I was sending them cards...manners, people. Proper etiquette. Just because we live in Louisiana doesn't mean we are backward...LOL

Great blog!

I am glad that you are enjoying your kindle bestest buddy! I still don't know if I can make the switch. There is nothing like holding a book in your hand and hearing the spine creak as you turn the page. I even like the smell of a new book. I am a sick, sick puppy!! I may have to make the switch though because I am literally drowning in my book collection. Or better yet...maybe its time for a bigger house.

Hey Libby,
I love my kindle! It's a little bit of an adjustment from regular books, but it saves space, and you can download the books instantly, anywhere, which is a big plus for me, as I like instant gratification. Also, the fact that Amazon keeps your books backed up means that you will always be able to re-download them if you ever needed to. The Kindle DX won't be available until summer, and the only difference is that the screen size is 21/2 times the size of Kindle 2. I actually prefer Kindle 2, because it fits better in my hand, and is a bit more portable. The Kindle DX is really aimed at people who want it mainly for newspapers and magazines. It's more magazine size, while Kindle 2 is book size.

For me, it is awesome, because I literally am out of room in this house. I could not buy more books without selling some or giving them away, which I hate to do. Now, I don't have to worry about that!

Let me know how it turns out!
